The MOVE. Community is built through participation. Everyone who attends an event, visits a property, joins a project, uses member access, volunteers, works, or partners with us is expected to care for the people, the place, and the work.
1. Show respect
Treat members, guests, staff, volunteers, neighbors, partners, and the public with dignity. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, bullying, stalking, threats, violence, retaliation, or deliberately disruptive behavior are not permitted.
2. Protect safety
Follow staff direction, posted rules, waivers, capacity limits, parking instructions, weather notices, water restrictions, tool requirements, and emergency procedures. Do not create an unreasonable risk for yourself or anyone else.
3. Care for the land and property
Leave spaces ready for the next person. Use facilities and equipment only as allowed, dispose of waste properly, respect boundaries and neighboring property, and report damage or hazards promptly. Theft, vandalism, unauthorized entry, and misuse of access credentials are prohibited.
4. Respect consent and boundaries
Respect personal, physical, and digital boundaries. Do not photograph, record, publish, identify, or contact another person in a way that violates their stated preference, safety, or applicable law. Participation never implies consent to unwanted contact.
5. Participate honestly
Provide accurate information, represent your role and contribution truthfully, keep commitments you accept, and communicate early when plans change. Do not misuse The MOVE. name, projects, member information, resources, or relationships for unauthorized commercial, political, fundraising, or personal activity.
6. Follow event and guest rules
Hosts and members are responsible for communicating applicable rules to their guests. Guest access is not guaranteed and may require registration, a pass, a waiver, or direct supervision. Youth participation must follow program-specific guardian and safety rules.
7. Report concerns
Immediate danger should be reported to emergency services. Safety hazards, misconduct, access misuse, or concerns about this Code may be reported through our contact form or directly to the responsible event or property lead. Reports will be handled as privately as reasonably possible, but confidentiality cannot be guaranteed.
8. Response and enforcement
The MOVE. may give direction, require corrective action, remove a person from an event or property, restrict access, suspend or end membership, contact emergency services, or take other reasonable action based on safety, severity, recurrence, and applicable terms. Retaliation against someone who raises a good-faith concern is prohibited.
